A knitting update

Somebody's needles have been busy.
Well, I'm back to the heel on this toe-up-sock:

I got to the heel and then didn't like one spot on it where the stitches were too loose. I had also done a standard toe and figured that a round toe would work better with this yarn. So I ripped it all back out and started again. I really need to get past this trend of knitting each sock twice. I love this yarn, though. It's all candy confetti happy colors.
The raglan sweater for B is coming along. It is mindless knitting and I haven't had a whole lot of time to do that. But it grows...really.

I went to a yarn yard sale and bought a few skeins of some chenille that I thought might make good faces for the Mother Bear bears. When B saw it he said, "Ooh, make me a bear." I didn't want to make just a boring old Mother Bear pattern for him, so I searched and found a cool pattern. It's a bit fussy, but it goes really fast. I did the back in one night and the front in another. I discovered that Michael's doesn't have good eyes, so I ordered some from a bear craft supply place today. We'll see how he turns out. I hate seaming, and so will put off the sewing until the eyes come so I can do it all in one sitting. Anyway, here are the bear skins:

He has nice shaping. I like the little tush. He's more nubbly fuzzy than furry though.
I will add to my stash this week. Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival is Saturday. I think some of us Yarn Boys are going together. And B just got us hotel reservations so we can go to the big one: New York Sheep and Wool Festival in October. Woo hoo!
